Real-Time Satellite Tracking — Right Inside HamStation

Watch HamStation’s satellite tracking module lock onto a pass and follow it across the sky in real time. Using live SGP4-propagated orbital data from Celestrak TLE feeds, HamStation continuously computes your satellite’s latitude, longitude, altitude, velocity, and orbital period — all updated every second. A built-in world map overlays the sub-satellite ground track so you can see exactly where your target is heading, while the observer info bar keeps your grid square coordinates front and center.

Automatic Antenna Rotator Control

When a pass begins, HamStation calculates azimuth and elevation from your location and drives your connected rotators automatically — no manual intervention needed. The per-rotator tracking checkboxes let you choose exactly which antennas follow the bird, and a smart zenith pre-staging algorithm looks 30 seconds ahead near overhead passes so your rotator is already swinging the right direction before the satellite descends on the other side. Upcoming pass predictions show AOS, LOS, duration, and max elevation for every tracked object, displayed in either UTC or local time.

HamStation ships with the full Celestrak satellite catalog organized into groups — ISS, weather, amateur, NOAA, and more — and TLEs refresh with a single click. Whether you’re working linear transponders, capturing NOAA weather imagery, or just watching the ISS arc overhead, HamStation gives you the tools to do it cleanly from one unified ham radio platform.
